Changan selects Consilium Group as recruitment partner

Due to our wealth of experience in this sector, and successful track record of establishing UK based technical centres for overseas clients, we are now extremely proud to announce that we have been selected by Changan Auto as a recruitment partner to assist with their plan to establish the Changan UK R&D Centre.

First established in 1862, Changan was a pioneer of China’s modern industry. It is one of the first-class enterprises of Chinese auto industry. Changan is currently China’s 3rd largest Automotive OEM with a capacity of 1.5 Million vehicles and 1.5 Million Engines. They are one of the worlds fastest growing OEM’s with sales growth around 30% year on year. They manufacture at several plants in China and Changan also has six production bases in Asia, America, Africa and Europe

Besides several R&D engineering operations in China, Changan is also committed to utilising the best design and development resources from around the globe. They already have established the Changan Auto European Design Centre in Italy, and Changan Auto Japan Design Centre Corporation in Japan. Changan has also established research and developing bases in Germany, Belgium and Austria.

The next stage in this ambitious plan is the UK R&D Centre. The emphasis of this technical centre will be the design and development of Powertrain and Transmission Technology. They aim to establish a team of approximately 200 Engineers consisting of the best available talent.

This is an ongoing recruitment programme, and Consilium would be very keen to take applications from Engineers with the following skills:

• Chief Engineers (Powertrain or Transmissions)
• Design Engineers (Core Engine or Transmissions)
• Development Engineers
• NVH, FEA, CFD, CAE
• Hydraulic Systems
• Electronic Control Systems (Powertrain or Transmissions)
• Engine Performance & Combustion
