Keen to capitalise on new business opportunities within this dynamic and revolutionary sector of the automotive industry, a COO is sought to augment the senior management team in line with ambitious development of existing capability and expertise. The Company This is a relatively young organisation in a rapid but controlled growth phase. They are seeking now to capitalise on their market leading position in a new technology sector. The Role Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will assume responsibility for overall programme management of the various engineering projects - ensuring they run to time as well as produce competitive, safe, robust, market ready products. In addition to programme management, you will also hold overall responsibility for development of business operations. This will range from developing the supply chain, identifying and developing suitable equipment for high volume manufacture; implementing appropriate production management systems and quality assurance systems. You will also work closely with the Chief Technical Officer, who is responsible for performance aspects of product development as well as technical direction. As a key member of the executive board, you will be expected to take the lead in defining the processes and implementing the infrastructure and systems needed to support substantial growth in the business over the next 5-10 years. As COO, you will also serve as business partner to the CEO in developing the organisation's strategic, commercial, financial, budgetary, and administrative processes - with an eye to growing the business aggressively, whilst ensuring the integrity and development of supporting systems. The Person Due to the diverse nature of the role, it is expected that the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in most of the following areas:
Credible and capable of operating at senior board level, and as a representative of the organisation while engaging with customers, suppliers, partners and investors.
