A highly successful division of one of the world's leading industrial groups, our client is recognised as a major player in the development and manufacture of a specialised range of high-specification, award winning security products and systems.

A very profitable and socially responsible group they have both partnered with and acquired a number of businesses in Europe and beyond, culminating in global revenues of £7Bn+ employing 18000 people in 150+, locations they are a true leader in the global manufacturing and service sectors.

They have recently embarked on a major launch and growth plan which undoubtedly will escalate this division to number one status. Due to this expansion they now seek a Sales and Business Development Manager to be responsible for the South East UK / London region in a multi product environment and particular verticals such as healthcare and custodial services.

The Person

Applications MUST demonstrate a proven track record of new account acquisition, Sales order generation, customer development and retention with an extensive understanding of consultative sales and sales processes from enquiry generation to fulfilment. This coupled with an ability to manage and grow existing accounts ands maximise revenue from current customers.

For this role it is imperative you have sold a product such as Security Systems (not IT security), messaging, paging, or wifi communications (not airtime or mobile contracts). The role will be responsible for sales in the London region therefore you MUST be commutable to the area daily.

Extensive sales experience at a high level including an ability to present, provide tender documents and RFQs. You will have located potential SME clients, introduced the company, technically demonstrated a medium value product and sold on a consultative basis.

Well developed communication ability linked to excellent relationship building experience.

Capable of selling products based on quality not lowest price.

A honed and robust commercial individual you will have a commitment to customer and solution driven sales, strong marketing acumen and advanced negotiation ability.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Director this role is responsible for developing and winning new business accounts and current customer account management, though both an excellent understanding of the market place linked to an ability to convey a technical product to the customer in a confident manner and with passion.

Covering the South East region you will be responsible for sales of Security, paging and worker protection systems including client generation and targeting, contact generation, pre sale tenders and post sales back up service.

This will involve generating new business, managing current accounts, locating and maximizing business with verticals such as Hospitals, Government Institutions, Commercial businesses and retail organizations.

It is envisaged the candidate will spend a significant level of time servicing existing clients, however the success will also be judged on an ability to gain new business in new sectors through cold calling, making appointments cross selling and working within the group on large installations.

The positions success will be measured on the following key areas:

Volume of sales revenue and profit margin generated in the agreed target market.
Delivery of growth in revenues and profits in line with strategic plan.
Number of new customers who enter into contracted agreements, not just single transactions and the impact that this has on overall annual contracted revenue stream.
Penetration/development of each account during its first six months.
Value, mix and conversion levels of prospect bank.

The Package

The company offer a class leading package which will include a basic salary of circa £ 35,000 - £ 45,000 p.a. dependant on experience with an uncapped commission OTE of circa £20,000- £30,000 p.a. based on achievement of key measurements.

The company also provide a company car or allowance, company mobile telephone, company laptop and associated peripherals, repayment of expenses incurred on company business, 25 days annual leave, participation in the company pension scheme and healthcare scheme.
